MONTICELLO, Ark. — Southern Nazarene had 293total yards of offense in a 51-10 loss at Arkansas Monticello.
The Crimson Storm (0-6, 0-6 GAC) ran for 168 yards and threw for 125 yards while the Boll Weevils had 667 yards of total offense.
James Mauro threw for 120 yards as he was 11-for-30 passing.
Daniel Ramos III rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.
Carlos Anguiano also kicked his third straight field goal as he hit one from 28 yards out. Larry Butler led the way on the defensive side of the ball with 12 tackles.
The Weevils built a 13-0 lead in the first before Ramos punched a 2-yard run across the goal line to help put the Storm within striking range at 13-7. Ramos had a 23-yard run just two plays before he scored as part of a 13-play, 86 yard drive. Monticello though pushed it to 27-7 at the half, but the Storm cut it to 27-10 with 6:22 left in the third when Anguiano drilled his only field goal attempt to complete a 10-play, 68-yard drive. Monticello though scored 28 unanswered to seal the game.
