Tigers Shut Out Storm

Southern Nazarene was shut out for the sixth time this season in 3-0 loss to ECU

ADA, Okla. — Two days after its biggest offensive output of the season, Southern Nazarene was shut out for the sixth time on the season in a 3-0 loss to East Central.

The Crimson Storm (4-6-0) scored four goals on 22 shots against Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday, but had a much tougher time on offense today against the Tigers. SNU managed to get off 17 shots, but only five were on goal, compared to 24 shots and 10 shots on goal for ECU.

Nancy Williams and Alyssa Glitzke each landed two shots on goal for the Crimson Storm. The only other shot on goal for SNU came from Shanae Vasquez.

Taylor Kennedy, who scored her fifth and sixth goals of the year and also added an assist on the third goal for the Tigers, led East Central.

Natasha Fuentes (4-6-0) registered seven saves throughout the game for SNU. Today was the second consecutive shutout for the ECU defense.
