Storm Fall to Tigers

SNU had 19 turnovers in its 55-49 loss to East Central

BETHANY, Okla.— Southern Nazarene gave the ball up 19 times and only shot 34.6 percent from the floor in its 55-49 loss to East Central.
 
Aminata Fall scored 19 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and dished out five assists. Abby Boyd scored nine points and pulled in two rebounds. Danielle Gaddis scored seven points and grabbed two rebounds.
 
The Crimson Storm (5-7, 2-4 GAC) shot 25.0 percent from the three-point line and 64.3 percent from the free-throw line. The Tigers (9-2, 5-0 GAC) shot 32.7 percent from the field, 23.5 percent from behind the arc, and 53.6 percent from the foul line.
 
Southern Nazarene started the game with a 10-2 run to build an early eight-point lead in the first five minutes. East Central cut the lead to two at the 10:29 mark with an 8-2 run. SNU closed out the half with a 16-12 run to establish a six-point lead at halftime.
 
Fall scored eight points, grabbed four rebounds, and dished out three assists in the first half. Gaddis scored all seven of her points in the half. Boyd scored five points and pulled in two rebounds.
 
The Tigers took the lead at the 16:00 minute mark as they posted a 12-4 run to start the second half. They never relinquished the lead the rest of the way as they outscored SNU 21-17 the rest of the half. The Crimson Storm closed the gap to two points at the 4:37 mark of the half, but turned the ball over three times in a two-minute span to hand the game to East Central.
 
Fall posted a double-double in the second half as she scored 11 points and pulled in ten rebounds. Boyd scored four points and dished out one assist.
