ARKADELPHIA, Ark.— Southern Nazarene scored 36 points in the second half, with half of those being scored by
Miranda Taylor, to overcome a nine-point first half deficit in its 61-58 victory over Ouachita Baptist.

Taylor led the team with a career-high 21 points on a career-high 8-for-11 from the field.
Aminata Fall posted a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds. She also blocked eight shots.
Abby Boyd scored six points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out three assists.
LaShabra Plunkett also scored six points to go along with three rebounds and three steals.

The Crimson Storm (6-9, 3-6 GAC) gained the early advantage as they started the game with a 12-8 run in the first four minutes of the first half. The Tigers (5-10, 1-7 GAC) tied the game at the 9:44 mark with a 6-2 run. They outscored Southern Nazarene 20-11 the rest of the way to create a nine-point lead at the half.

Fall scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the first half. She also blocked five shots.
Katelynn Gorman scored four points and also pulled in one rebound. The Crimson Storm shot better from the field and from the three-point line than Ouachita Baptist, but the Tigers made two more three-pointers and five more free throws than SNU.

Southern Nazarene closed the gap to four points at the 12:57 mark of the second half with an 11-6 run. They tied the game at the 9:00 mark with an 8-4 run. The teams traded the lead multiple times in the next couple of minutes of the game. Ouachita Baptist gained a three-point lead with three minutes left to go, but SNU tied the game again 30 seconds later with a three-pointer by Taylor. Consecutive layups by Taylor and Plunkett gave the Crimson Storm a four-point lead with 17 seconds remaining in the game. The Tigers closed the gap to three as they made a free throw with ten seconds remaining. They managed to get a three-point shot off at the buzzer, but it was no good and Southern Nazarene picked up its first GAC win of 2015.

Taylor scored 18 of her 21 points in the second half as she shot 7-for-8 from the floor and 2-for-3 from behind the arc. Plunkett scored six points and grabbed three rebounds. Fall scored four points and pulled in ten rebounds.

Fall is now fourth in school history in total rebounds with 998. With two more rebounds, she will be the fourth player in SNU history to score 1,000 career points and pull in 1,000 career rebounds.
