Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — No. 8 Henderson State totaled 661 yards of total offense and scored 28 points off five Southern Nazarene turnovers in a 72-7 win in the 2014 season opener.

The Crimson Storm (0-1, 0-1 GAC) totaled 277 yards with 212 yards coming through the air.
James Mauro threw for 212 yards and one touchdown while going 16-for-39.
Lorenzo Alexander ran for 74 yards on 11 carries.
Pierson Waugh pulled in the lone touchdown late in the fourth quarter for the Storm and led the way with four catches for 46 yards.
Austin Williams also recorded 59 yards receiving on two catches.

Matthew Gregg led the way on the defensive side with seven tackles and a sack.

Michael Hicks and
Blake Giles all had five tackles.
Josh Price also had an interception and a pass breakup.

The Reddies (1-0, 1-0 GAC) put 14 points on the board in the first four minutes of the game. It took just two plays and 22 seconds on the first drive before picking off a pass and that was run all the way to the SNU 3-yard line. One play later HSU led 14-0. Henderson State led 35-0 at the end of the first and 59-0 at the end of the half. The Reddies led 65-0 before Mauro hit Waugh in the back of the end zone to cap a 15-play, 79-yard rive for SNU's only score.
