RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Southern Nazarene had seven turnovers, five interceptions and two fumbles lost, in a 34-14 loss at Arkansas Tech.

The Crimson Storm (0-3, 0-3 GAC) had 144 yards of total offense with 109 of that coming through the air. SNU also rushed for 35 yards. SNU allowed 255 yards of total offense from the Wonder Boys (2-1, 2-1 GAC).

Lorenzo Alexander ran for 44 yards on 13 carries while
Brian Yenor ran for 28 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.
Austin Williams caught the only touchdown through the air for the Storm as he had two catches for 37 yards.
James Mauro was 11-for-35 passing.

Josh Price had 14 tackles to lead the way defensively for SNU and he also had a forced fumble.
Michael Hicks and
Matthew Gregg each had a pass breakup as Hicks had eight tackles and Gregg had seven.
Landon Boaz also had six tackles and an interception.

Arkansas Tech took the first lead of the game on its first drive as they had to go just 15 yards. The Storm tied it with 9:16 left in the second quarter when Mauro hit Williams for a 28-yard strike. It took SNU just six plays to go 63 yards in 3:37.

The Wonder Boys though took the lead again with 4:48 left in the half with a 3-play, 49-yard drive.

ATU took a 14-7 lead into the break and then ran the second half kickoff back to take a 21-7 lead right out of the gate. The Wonderboys took a 27-7 lead with 3:14 left in the third before tacking on another touchdown just before the end of the third to lead 34-7.

The Storm cut it to 34-14 late when Yenor capped a 3-play, 29-yard drive, but that was as close as SNU came.

Southern Nazarene now gets set to host No. 20 Harding, Saturday, at 6 p.m.
