Box Score 2 OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene dropped both games of a doubleheader to Northwestern Oklahoma State, falling 7-5 in the opener and 11-0 in the second.

Northwestern Oklahoma State took a 2-0 lead through the top of the third in the opener with a run each in the second and third innings. SNU cut it to 2-1 in the bottom half of the third when
Megan Blevens drilled a double to left center to score
Courtney Wiley. The Lady Rangers pushed it to 5-1 in the top of the fourth with three runs. Blevens drove in two more run in the bottom of the fifth when she ripped a double to left to put the Storm within two at 5-3.

SNU then took advantage of an illegal pitch and a Northwestern error to tie it at 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth. The Lady Rangers though scored two in the top of the seventh to take a 7-5.

Whitney Linder went 2-for-4 on the day while Blevens went 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
Ashley Potter (0-1) took the loss after going the final two innings. She gave up just two runs, one earned.
Kayla Wyatt gave up five runs, four earned, in five innings of work. She also struck out five.

In the nightcap, the Lady Rangers took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second and added four runs in each of the third and fourth innings to lead 11-0. That was all NWOSU needed to pick up the win in five innings.

Sam Smith went 2-for-2 in the second game as
Kylie Lang (0-2) took the loss after giving up seven runs on six hits in 2.2 innings of work.
