Reddies Sweep Storm

Southern Nazarene swept at Henderson State

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ARKADELPHIA, Ark. —  Kylie Lang went 3-for-5 on the day for Southern Nazarene in a doubleheader loss to Henderson State as SNU fell 2-1 in the opener and lost 3-0 in the nightcap.
 
The Crimson Storm (11-21, 5-14 GAC) matched the Lady Reddies (20-14, 16-7 GAC) hit for hit, but produced just one run the entire day.
 
Lang went 1-for-2 with a run scored in the opener as all four hits for SNU came from different players. SNU struck first with a run in the top of the first when Lang scored on a Hannah LeBeau single to center. That was it for the Storm though as they had just four more baserunners the rest of the game.
 
Henderson State scored two in the bottom of the fifth and got behind its pitching staff for the win. Kayla Wyatt (6-9) took the loss after giving up just two runs on three hits in six innings of work. She struck out five.
 
Lang went 2-for-3 in the nightcap as she notched half of SNU's hits in the second game. Andee Frazier took the loss giving up three runs on two hits in 3.2 innings of work. Ashley Potter threw 2.1 inning of relief giving up just three hits.
 
Henderson State scored all three of its runs in the fourth.
 
The two conclude the four-game set with a 12 p.m. doubleheader Sunday.
