Anton Kankaanpaa and
Garrett Butler combined for 46 points for Southern Nazarene in a 74-65 win at the Pioneer Celluar Events Center.

Kankaanpaa tied a career-high with 17 points while Willis matched that. Kanaanpaa went 6-for-7 from the field and 5-for-6 from 3-point range as he tied a career-high for treys hit as well. Willis went 7-for-9 from the floor and added 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the year. He also had six assists. Butler added 12 points off of the bench as he went 5-for-8 from the field and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc.
CJ Rodriguez chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds while
Corey McCrary had eight points, four assists and two rebounds.

The Crimson Storm (6-3, 3-2 GAC) knocked off the Bulldogs (6-3, 1-2 GAC) for the first time in the new arena and gave SWOSU its first home loss of the season. The win also snapped a two-game skid against the Bulldogs. SNU shot 50.9 percent from the field and went 11-for-21 from 3-point range. The Storm held the Bulldogs to 40 percent from the field and 26.3 percent from 3-point range.

SNU took an early lead in the first half, but the Bulldogs used an 11-3 run to 25-19 to take their biggest lead of the game. The Storm answered with a 17-5 run to take a 36-30 lead with 3:10 left. SWOSU cut it to 39-37 at the half and tied it at 39 early in the first half, but the Storm went on a 21-9 run to take a 60-48 lead before pushing it to its biggest lead at 71-56 with 4:40 left. SNU held the Bulldogs at bay from there.Â
