BETHANY, Okla. — For the first time this year Southern Nazarene University got to showcase what it had in store for the 2014-15 season, but a poor shooting second half hurt SNU in an 85-73 loss to Oklahoma City.

The Crimson Storm, playing in their final exhibition game before the Nov. 14 season opener, held a 45-41 lead at the half on the Stars, but SNU shot just 23.1 percent from the field, going 9-for-39 in the second half. It was an official game for OCU who moved to 2-0 on the season.

SNU shot 44.1 percent from the floor in first half going 15-for-34 and finished 32.9 percent from the field. The Crimson Storm hit just seven of its 30 3-pointers they attempts. SNU nearly had a perfect second half from the free-throw line going 7-for-8 and finished 18-for-24 at the stripe.

LB Willis led SNU with 16 points as he went 4-for-14 from the field and 7-for-10 at the line. He also had three rebounds, three assists and two steals. He was one of three players in double figures as
Francisco Hukill had 15 off of the bench and
Corey McCrary had 13.
Jared Starkey had eight points and six rebounds.

The Storm had 17 points off of turnovers and gave up just six as they turned the ball over just four times, but OCU out scored SNU in the paint 40-28 and had 40 points off of the bench.Â
