OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene overcame a 16-point deficit to start the second half and got a career-high 18 points from
Francisco Hukill in a 59-57 win at Oklahoma Christian.

The Crimson Storm (5-0) opened the second half with an 18-5 run to cut it to 41-38 with 12:27 left to play, but the Eagles (2-2) answered with nine straight to lead 50-38 with 8:54 left. OC stretched it to 56-45, before the Storm scored 12 straight that was capped by a
Garrett Butler 3-pointer that gave SNU just its second lead of the night at 57-56 with 1:05 left. A pair of
LB Willis free throws gave the Storm a 59-56 lead and OC hit a free throw to make it 59-57.

The Storm had a chance to push it to a four-point lead, but missed two free throws with 16 seconds left and gave OC the chance to tie or win the game. The Eagles' Cameron Peters made a drive from the right side and missed a 12-foot floater that John Moon corralled and put back up with second a second left. The ball hung on the rim, but dropped off the left side after the buzzer sounded to give SNU the win.

Hukill nearly had his second double-double of the year as he added nine rebounds to his 18 points.
Jared Starkey also had a career-high with 11 points and added five rebounds as well. Butler had nine points while
LB Willis had seven points, six rebounds and eight steals.

The Crimson Storm struggled from the field shooting just 31.1 percent and were 13-for-20 from the free-throw line, but SNU turned ball over just three times. The Storm in turn scored 15 points off of 18 OC turnovers. The Eagles hit 51.7 percent from the field in the first half, but SNU held them to just 7-for-19 from the field in the second half.

It is the first time since the 2006-07 season that Southern Nazarene has started the season 5-0.Â
