BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene closed out its 2014 campaign with a 20-14 loss to Southwest Baptist University.

The Crimson Storm (0-11) totaled 261 yards of offense with 162 passing and 99 rushing while the Bearcats (4-7) had 329 yards of total offense with 95 rushing and 234 passing.
James Mauro threw for 159 yards as he completed 13 of his 28 attempts.
Lorenzo Alexander ran for 47 yards on 18 carries while
Alec Laffoon ran for 39 yards on six carries.

Southwest Baptist took an early 14-0 lead before
Sherrod Daniels took a kickoff back 80 yards for a touchdown to make it 14-7 with just three seconds left in the first quarter. It was the first kickoff return since Oct. 13, 2012. The Bearcats added another score, but missed the extra point to lead 20-7 and carried that lead into the half.

Alec Laffoon helped cut the score to 20-14 when he capped a 14-play, 85-yard drive with a four-yard run
with 2:33 left in the third, but that was it for scoring for either side.
