DURANT, Okla. — For the first time this season, Southern Nazarene dropped a five-set match as Southeastern Oklahoma State held on, after giving up sets three and four, to pick up a 3-2 (25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 21-25, 15-13) win over SNU.

The Crimson Storm (12-5, 5-2 GAC) fall to 4-1 in five set matches and lose their second straight road match in conference play.

Despite
Taylor Jacobs having a season-high 32 kills and hitting .327 and
Kaylee Piatt having a career-high 56 assists, SNU had 39 total errors with 32 attacking and seven service errors. SNU still out hit, out dug and out blocked the Savage Storm (10-8, 4-2 GAC). Piatt also had 13 digs, three blocks and six kills to go with the sixth most assists in a single match in school history. Jacobs also added four blocks and 10 digs. Freshman,
McKayla Benner totaled a few career-highs as she ripped 15 kills, hit .357 and had four blocks on the night.
Emilee Crawford and
Lexie Matthews each had 10 kills while Crawford had four blocks.

Elyse Berlin added 19 digs while
Dani Chase had 11.
