CANYON, Texas — Grace Self scored her second goal of the season, but Southern Nazarene couldn't generate enough offense to keep up with West Texas A&M in a 3-1 loss.
 
The Lady Buffs (5-6) scored first when Emily Krenek scored off a pass from Brady Prescott in the 20^th minute. Krenek scored her second goal of the game 13 minutes later off a pass from Jessie Thomas to stretch the lead to 2-0. The Crimson Storm (4-6) only attempted three shots in the first half with two of them being on goal.
 
Southern Nazarene got on the board early in the second half when Self attempted a free kick from 30 yards out and put the ball in the back of the net to close the gap to 2-1. West Texas A&M responded quickly as Jessie Thomas scored two minutes later off a pass from Brady Prescott. The Crimson Storm attempted seven more shots the rest of the half and put three of them on goal, but they were not able to find the back of the net.
 
West Texas A&M attempted 15 shots with ten of them being on goal. SNU attempted 13 shots with six of the being on goal.
 
SNU's Natasha Fuentes recorded seven saves and West Texas A&M's Nicole Kemper had five saves.
