Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene dropped a doubleheader to Northwestern Oklahoma State losing 9-6 in the opener and 5-3 in the nightcap.
In the opener the Crimson Storm (8-14, 2-8 GAC) carried a 6-5 lead into the seventh inning, but Northwestern scored four to take a 9-6 lead and held on from there.

The Rangers scored first in the top of the first, but SNU answered with five in the bottom half of the inning. The Storm scored the first two on a home run to left field. Megan Blevens then ripped a three-run home run to left center to make it 5-1. The Rangers though rallied with one in the first and three in the fourth to tie it.

SNU retook the lead in the fifth when Blevens ripped a double through the left side to give the Storm a 6-5 lead. The Storm were just one out away in the top of the seventh when NWOSU got a walk and a single to put runners at first and second. Ali Seibel ripped a two-run single to right to give the Rangers a 7-6 lead. Northwestern added two more insurance runs to win it.

Blevens went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and one run while Lang and Fluman each went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Maci-Brooke Lambert (4-8) took the loss after giving up nine runs, five earned, on 10 hits in seven innings of work.

The Rangers took the first lead of the game with a grand slam in the first. SNU got three back in the third to cut it to 4-3. Two came on an Amy Madden triple and added another on a fielder's choice, but that was it for SNU. NWOSU added another in the seventh to put it on ice.

Jeneva Nelson (3-4) took the loss after giving up five runs on four hits in seven innings of work.

The Crimson Storm and Rangers play again Saturday, for an 11 a.m. doubleheader.
