Bulldogs Sweep Storm

Southern Nazarene lost a doubleheader to Southwestern Oklahoma State

Lang went 4-for-8 with two RBIs and a run scored.

For the third straight game, Southwestern Oklahoma State jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but once again Southern Nazarene had an answer. The Crimson Storm scored four in the bottom of the fourth, including the first two on a Southwestern Oklahoma State error. SNU added another on an Amy Madden sacrifice squeeze before Kaytie Spencer's single down the left field line pushed across the fourth run as SNU led 4-1.
 
The Lady Bulldogs though bounced right back with four in the fifth to retake the lead at 5-4 and carried that lead into the seventh. The Storm got a lead off single from Aliyah Seabock, but was thrown out at second on Kacey Acker's single to right. Megan Blevens drew a walk to put runners at first and second with one out, but SWOSU retired the next two matters to take the opener.
 
Jeneva Nelson (4-6) took the loss after giving up four runs on two hits in 2.1 innings of work. Kylie Lang and Spencer each went 2-for-4 with an RBI while Lang scored a run.
 
The Lady Bulldogs again took the first lead of the game with one each in the first and the second to climb out to a 2-0 lead. The Storm responded with three in the bottom of the second to lead 3-2. The first run scored when Saydi Dowd was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Lindy Fluman then hit a sacrifice fly to right before Kylie Lang notched an infield single to put the Storm on top.
 
Southwestern tied the game in the top of the third with one and then extended it out to a 7-3 lead in the top of the fifth. The Storm got when back in the fifth when Madden singled to right to cut it to 7-4, but SWOSU added three more in the sixth to take a 10-4 lead.
 
Becca Webb (1-3) took the loos after giving up just three earned runs on nine hits. Lang and Madden each went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Madden also scored a run.
 
The Crimson Storm now get set for a four-game set at Southeastern Oklahoma State, Friday and Saturday.
