Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — Aminata Fall scored a career-high 21 points and set the school record for rebounds in a game with a career-high 20 rebounds in a 91-81 loss to Southwestern Oklahoma State.
The Crimson Storm (3-6, 0-3 GAC) watched the Bulldogs (8-1, 3-0 GAC) fire 56.7 percent from the field in the first half, going 17-for-30 from the floor.
Fall went 7-for-18 from the field and 7-for-8 at the free-throw line as she scored 15 of her points in the second half.
Oumoul Thiam scored a game-high 26 points while
Annie Kassongo had 14 points and five rebounds.
The Storm were held to just 39.1 percent shooting from the field and were outscored on the bench 29-12.
SNU led 20-17 early in the first half before Southwestern used a 31-8 run to take its biggest lead of the half at 48-28. The Bulldogs took a 52-33 lead at the half and extended it to 64-35 with 17:20 left in the second. Thiam buried a couple of free throws to sparked a 21-4 run, capped by a Thiam 3-pointer, to cut it to 68-54. SWOSU pushed it back to 73-54 and were up 77-59 when Kassongo ignited a 14-4 run to 81-73 with 4:04 left. That was as close as the Storm came as the Bulldogs held SNU off from there.
The Crimson Storm now get set to host Northwestern Oklahoma State, Tuesday, for a 5:30 p.m. GAC game.
