Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — It's one game in and one win for Southern Nazarene as the Crimson Storm picked up a 110-49 victory over Dallas Christian in the season opener.
Seven different players scored in double figures and all seven were within four points of each other.
Ryan Aaron scored a game-high 16 points off of the bench while
Quan Conner had 15. Aaron went 6-for-7 from the field and 4-for-5 at the line while adding four rebounds as well. Conner hit three 3-pointers and dished out five assists.
Tyrone Lyons added 14 points and seven rebounds off of the bench and was a perfect 6-for-6 at the line.
Brady Burford had 13 points and six board while
Garrett Butler,
Demetrus Richardson and
Trey Mohair all scored 12 points. Butler had six rebounds while Richardson had seven.
Southern Nazarene shot nearly 60 percent from the field going 39-for-66 and were 28-for-35 (80.0 percent) form the charity stripe.
SNU's bench outscored the entire DCC team as the reserves scored 51 points. The Storm also dominated the pain with 60 points in the lane and 37 of those came off of 24 DCC turnovers.
Southern Nazarene quickly got out to a 27-9 lead and never looked back. SNU pushed the lead to 49-23 at the half and then split the game wide open in the second half with 61 points in the final 20 minutes.
The Crimson Storm now get set to host Oklahoma Christian, Tuesday, at 7:30 p.m.
