Southern Nazarene University Athletics

Dalen Smith was named an Assistant Coach for the Southern Nazarene Football program in August 2025.

Smith returns to his alma mater after a six-year playing career as a tight end for the Crimson Storm. He appeared in 36 games, recording six touchdowns for Southern Nazarene.

Originally from Sayre, Oklahoma, Smith attended Merritt High School before continuing his football career at Southern Nazarene. 

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. Recently married, Smith and his wife reside near the Southern Nazarene campus.
