Jimmy Nummy

Jimmy Nummy begins his first season as an assistant coach for the men’s soccer program. Nummy comes to SNU after serving with the South Lakes Soccer Club as he coached the ’00 Boys Academy, the ’96 Boy’s Competitive and the ’02 Boys Academy.

He also coached with the Edmond Soccer Club (Spring 2009), the Little Rock Futbol Club (Spring 2005-Fall 2008) and the Deaf Soccer Organization (2002-03). Nummy also worked at the Southern Nazarene Summer Soccer Camp and the Colorado Rapids Summer Camp in 2007 and 08.

Nummy played collegiately at now NCAA Division I Central Arkansas where he left ninth on the school’s career scoring list. He scored 11 goals, four of which were game-winners, and added nine assists. He played in 56 games and started 55. He was an All-Gulf South Conference first team selection and a GSC All-Tournament team choice as a senior. Nummy also earned NSCAA/Adidas All-South first team honors.

Nummy then went on to play professionally with the Colorado Rapids’ U-23 team where he scored eight goals in two years and started 34 of the 44 games played. He helped the team reach the quarterfinals. He also trained with the Rapids in 2008 and played in reserve games. From December 2008 to March 2009, he played for the Colorado Lightning of the Professional Arena Soccer League where she started six of the seven games he played and scored five goals and notched two assists.
