Debby Letham enters tenth season as the Head Coach of the Southern Nazarene Equestrian program. She has been a horse enthusiast, trainer and judge for over 50 years. She holds judge’s cards for the American Paint Horse Association, Appaloosa Horse Club, Pinto Horse Association, Pony of Americas, International Buckskin Horse Association, American Buckskin Horse Registry and American Stock Horse Association. She has judged shows all over the world, including Australia, Mexico, Canada, Argentina and across Europe.
She was named the ApHC Trainer of the Year in 2007 and was inducted into the PtHA Judges Hall of Fame in 2015. She served as the National Appaloosa Director from 1998-2018 and currently serves as the Vice President , the Chair of the Rules Committee, the Chair of the Youth Committee, and the Chair of the Judges Committee.
She has trained horses for Roy Clark of “HEE-HAW” fame, James Drury, star of the TV show “The Virginian” and Dale Robertson, star of movies and TV programs.
She and her husband, John, currently train, show and breed horses and coach Youth and Amateurs at their stables in Yukon, Oklahoma. Debby has coached many National and World Champion riders and horses. She has been coaching at Southern Nazarene since 2016.
