BETHANY, Okla. - Southern Nazarene Women's Soccer battled to a 1-1 draw against Augustana Friday evening at the Wanda Rhodes Soccer Complex.

The Vikings (0-0-1) struck first late in the opening half. In the 39th minute, Ava Kowalchyk finished off a feed from Paige Bracker to give Augustana a 1-0 advantage heading into the break. The Crimson Storm (0-0-1) were held to just one shot in the first half as the Vikings controlled possession and earned three corner kicks.

Augustana continued to press in the second half, but SNU's backline and goalkeeping held firm despite heavy pressure. The Crimson Storm were outshot 13-2 on the night and faced nine corners, but finished with four saves to keep the deficit at one.

The Crimson Storm finally broke through in the final minute. With time winding down, Danika Womack delivered the equalizer off a free kick from outside the box to level the match at 1-1.

Southern Nazarene pushed for a winner in the closing seconds, but Augustana held on defensively as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
