Shajani Strikes Again

SNU Dominates Harding with 3-0 Win

SEARCY, AR. - Southern Nazarene stormed through their third conference game of the season with a 3-0 win over Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Once again, Unaiz Shajani was the man of the moment, scoring all three goals just like he did the previous week. The Storm took control early adding another solid win to their record.

The match got off to a great start with SNU's(5-3-1, 2-1 GAC) Edwin Garcia testing Harding's (0-6-2, 0-3 GAC) goalkeeper, Inigo Chavarria, with 3:54 on the clock, but the shot was saved. Garcia kept the pressure on with another shot just nine minutes into the game. Not long after, Diego Zamora took a shot with 11:48 on the clock and forced another save from Chavarria.

The Storm got on the board at 22:43 when Shajani slipped one past Chavarria, putting SNU up 1-0. The Bisons tried to respond with a shot of their own a little after that, but Andrej Krivokapic made the save. Shajani was not done yet. With six minutes left in the first half, Axel Agurcia set up Shajani for another goal as he knocked it in, making it 2-0 for the Crimson Storm going into halftime.

The second half was more of the same, with Harding trying to fight their way back. Elliott Bracy had a shot with 48:48 on the clock aimed at the bottom center, but Krivokapic was on fire, making another big save. Southern Nazarene kept up the pressure, and with 65:33 left in the game as Shajani finished off his hat trick, giving the Storm a solid 3-0 lead.

Despite Harding's attempts to break through, with Lesego Maloma and Jake Whittington both having solid chances on goal, Krivokapic shut them down with two more impressive saves.
With the clock winding down, SNU's defense held strong, shutting down the Bisons' last efforts to get on the board.
