SNU scores seven in their shutout victory over Dallas Christian

BETHANY, Okla. - The Southern Nazarene Women's Soccer team returned home for a match-up under the lights with Dallas Christian College. The Storm went on a scoring rampage defeating the Crusaders 7-0.

The Storm (3-1-1, 0-0 GAC) offense was on fire making it difficult for the Dallas Christian (1-3, 0-0 NCCAA) defenders. The Storm stayed the aggressor throughout the entire match and did not let up once.

Bella Morgas stayed hot for the Storm, igniting the flame and scoring the first goal of the match thanks to an assist from Fallon Weatherford. Two minutes later Morgas would shoot in her second goal of the night stretching the Storm lead to 2-0. The Crusaders' defense would only allow for two Storm goals in the first half.

The Storm remained in the driver's seat in the second half of the match. Natalie Montanez started things off by punching one in herself, adding on to the score, 3-0. Karla Ramirez followed up with a goal two minutes later continuing to fuel the Storm fire, 4-0. Kyler Bowman scored her first goal in the Crimson Storm uniform elevating the score 5-0. Weatherford continued the scoring frenzy putting one in the back of the net, 6-0. Ramirez would shoot in the final goal for the Storm and her second goal of the night. That would be it for the Storm, finishing off the Crusaders 7-0.

The Storm shot an unbelievable 41 shots on the night, while five different Storm players tallied a goal. The Storm kept possession of the ball throughout most of the match as well. This helped make things easy for the defense and goalie Brooke Keene. Keene only tallied one save on the night due to the significant help from her teammates.
