DALLAS, Texas — With their last road game before conference play, the Southern Nazarene University Men's Soccer team falls short 2-0 to Dallas Baptist Saturday night.
SNU kept it close with the Patriots almost matching total shots (Patriots 16, Storm 14) and shots on goal (Patriots 7, Storm 6) but DBU was able to land two successful shots to SNU's zero, granting them the victory.
It was back and forth the first half as neither team could land a goal. It wasn't until the second period that the game took a turn in favor of the Patriots. DBU managed to pull off two goals late in the second half leaving SNU behind in a final 2-0 loss.
It was a great offensive effort as Angel Lopez attempted three shots and landed two on goal for the night while Daniel Trojman took two shots and had one on target for the Storm. Juan Rodarte took two shots for SNU and with one on target and in goal, Ramiro Jimenez tallied four saves for the Storm.
The Storm will appear in their first conference match on September 23rd where they will host Ouachita Baptist at Wes Harmon Field in Bethany. Kickoff set for 7 p.m.
