Storm Compete at Indoor GAC Championships
SNU posts six top-five finishes and ten top-10 finishes at the indoor championships in Norman.

NORMAN, Okla. – As the indoor season comes to a close, the Crimson Storm competed at the Great America Conference Indoor Championships in Norman, posting six top-five individual performances and 10 total top-10 finishes in all. Overall, Southern Nazarene ranked fourth out of the six teams participating.
For the women, Abrianna Drake again made her name know as he posted a 3
rdplace finish in the 60 Meter dash with a time of 7.92. Jamee Moore finished directly behind her in 5
thplace with a time of 8.07. The duo of Drake and Moore would again flaunt finishes in the 200 meter as Drake finished in 6
th(26.31) and Moore in 11
th(26.73). Breyanna Brice also competed in the race, coming in the 13
thplace.
In the 60 meter hurdles, it was Megan Wortmann who shined the brightest for SNU, finishing in 6
thplace with a time of 9.66. Chaya Crittenden would also compete as she finished right afterwards in 7
thplace. Nancy Velazquez headed things for the Storm in the 400 meter as she collected a 13
thplace finish in front Lauren Davidson (16
th) and Lauren Stitt (17
th).
Sophia Weisbruch represented well in the 800 meter race, finishing in 8
thplace with a time of 2:26.08. Others competing in this event was Rachel Hurtz, Rebecca Warden, Emma Green, and Madi Nortune.
Rounding off the individual placements for the Women was Chaya Crittenden who came 2
ndin the indoor pentathlon high jump at a measurement of 1.56m. This was the highest placement of the day for Southern Nazarene. The Women's 4x4 relay team posted a 4
thplace finish with a time of 4:15.32 while SNU found a 4
thplace finish in the distance medley.
As for the Men, Darrius Blackshire claimed the highest finish for the Storm, coming in 4
thplace in the 400 meter dash. Ryan Audette would collect the 5
thplace spot with a time of 52.25 while other SNU runners, Cashen Graham and Christian Hillary, finished later. D'Kari Smith was the lone Storm runner to place in the 60 meter run, notching a 5
thplace finish with a time of 7.10.
Smith would again lead the way in 200 meter as he came in 6
thplace (22.96), right before Marc Turbyfill, who finished in 7
thwith a time of 22.96. Christian Escritt would post a 7
thplace finish in the 800 meter dash with a time of 2:00.22. Others competing in the race was Jesujoba Fabiyi and Dakota Norvell.
Zach McAlpin placed 7
thin the 3000 meter race with a time of 9:14.81 while the Men's 4x4 relay time grabbed a 2
ndplace finish (3:24.87). Lastly, there was a 4
thplace finish Men in the distance medley.
Southern will be back in action on the weekend of March 13
th, competing in the NCAA championships.
