BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - The Southern Nazarene University women's golf team wrapped up their season opening event at the central region preview on Wednesday, and the Crimson Storm's round mirrored the results SNU saw in the opening 18 holes.

SNU was paced by a 78 from Heidi Stafford (Sr./Eufaula, Okla.), and the team fired a 326 on day two, just as they did in the opening round, finishing the event in 15th place overall and sixth among teams from the Great American Conference.

Stafford birdied her second hole of the day, the par-4 11th hole at Adams Point Golf Club, but she made the most noise after she made the turn. Stafford did not find any birdies on the front side of the course, but she posted eight pars out of the final nine holes to shoot 37 on the front nine and 78 for the round.

Carina Hernandez and Loren Ogburn also birdied the 11th hole, and Hernandez added a birdie on the first hole after making the turn on her way to a round of 81. Bailey Blake (82), Emilie Jackson (85), and Ogburn (87) rounded out the field for SNU. Stafford's round elevated her into a tie for 38th in the event, Blake finished tied for 50th, Jackson slotted herself in a tie for 59th, Hernandez tied for 85th, and Ogburn finished 92nd.

The field featured 19 teams, and a very deep field both individually and on the team leaderboard, and the University of Central Missouri claimed the team title with a combined score of 602. UCM's Rosie Klausner took the tournament medalist honors with a winning total of 146 (+2)

SNU will return to action on Monday and Tuesday when they head to Tahlequah, Oklahoma to take part in the Northeastern State University Classic. The tournament will be played at Cherokee Springs Golf Club.
