SHAWNEE, Okla. - The Southern Nazarene University women's soccer team hit the road and opened their Great American Conference Schedule on Saturday afternoon with a trip to nearby Shawnee, Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison. The match was originally scheduled for 7 p.m., but due to an on-campus conflict at OBU with football, the kick off was pushed up to noon.
SNU (2-4-1, 0-1 GAC) put six of their seven shots on goal, but the Crimson Storm goalkeepers were busy on the afternoon, and OBU (3-3-1, 1-0 GAC) took the win 11-0.
The Bison scored seven times in the first half, adding four more tallies after intermission. SNU put all four of their first half shots on target, and two of their three second half attempts found the frame as well.
Ashlynn Pritchett and
Maci Attalla combined for 13 saves in the contest.
SNU will be back in action on Thursday evening in Searcy, Arkansas when they continue a three-match road trip at Harding University (2-4-1, 1-0 GAC). Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
