BETHANY, Okla. - The Southern Nazarene University Men's Soccer Team battled against the Bison of Harding University, but couldn't come out victorious.
The Storm (1-5) couldn't quite slow down the offensive effort of the Bison (3-1-1) and fell 3-0.
Harding came out shooting from the opening kickoff. The first goal was scored in the fourth minute of play when Christian Ramos cashed in a pass from Jaelen Jackson to open the scoring.. The match then became a back in forth defensive battle until Jeremy Nwonumah found a way to put a shot into the goal just before the half to double Harding's lead. In the early part of the second half, Christian Ramos scored off a penalty (53:58) to push the Bison lead to 3-0, which proved to be the final score.
Eric Romero would lead SNU individually with 2 shots, but those were the only shots for the Storm in the match.
SNU will travel to Tahlequah, Oklahoma next week to take on Northeastern State University (3-3) for their next match. The teams will meet on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
