HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. - The Southern Nazarene women's golf team shot a 323 (+39) on Tuesday afternoon for a two-round score of 648 (+80) to win the Natural State Golf Classic by nine strokes at the Red Apple Tees.

After finishing second at their home event just two weeks ago, Derrick Taylor's squad followed up their impressive performance with their first tournament win since September 5, 2012.

The Crimson Storm were led by an 81 (+10) from Emilie Jackson to place third individually for a two-round score of 159 (+17). Jackson led the way in Par 5 scoring at -1 and had 18 pars throughout the week.

Bailey Blake had the low round of the day for SNU with a 78 (+7) to move up to a top five finish with a two-round score of 161 (+19). Blake had 19 pars through the weekend.

Sarah Rovenstine shot and 83 (+12) for a two-round score of 164 (+22) for a seventh place finish while Heidi Stafford shot an 81 (+10) for a two-round score of 166 (+24), finishing just outside the top 10 with an 11th place finish.

Kaylee Petersen rounded out the scoring and was just behind Stafford with a two-round score of 166 (+24) for a 12th place finish. Petersen led the field in Par 3 scoring at +2 and had three birdies through the week.

Harding placed second with a two-round score of 657 (+89) while Southern Arkansas was third at 671 (+103). Arkansas-Monticello fell to fourth with a score of 680 (+112) while Missouri Southern State was fifth at 766 (+198).

The Crimson Storm will return to action next weekend as they head to Arkadelphia, Ark. to compete at the Bear State Bank Championship.
