ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Southern Nazarene Men's soccer team fell 3-1 to their Conference opponent Ouachita Baptist Saturday evening.
SNU (2-10-1, 1-5-1 GAC) couldn't capitalize on the chances they were given. A last minute goal wasn't enough to pull the win against the Tigers (3-8-2, 1-5-1 GAC).
The first half was defensive tug of war leaving the scoreboard at 0-0. It was until the 67th minute that Abraham Lazo broke the seal of the game. Shortly after, Lazo was able to score his second goal a minute later (68:38). Jakob Cuellar was able to put the finishing touches on the game for Ouachita with his shot in the 75th minute. The lone goal from the Storm came from Sophomore Angel Lopez in the last 5 minutes of the matchup.
SNU will be back in action Oct. 24th against Rogers State (8-4-1, 5-4 GAC). The kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
