SEARCY, Ark. — Southern Nazarene nearly picked up its second conference win of the season as it pushed the No. 7-ranked team in the Central Region, Harding, to a 5-4 loss Friday afternoon.

The Crimson Storm (1-7, 1-4 GAC) picked up one match in doubles as
Polina Chala and
Judit Mas won 8-4 at No. 3.
Noelia Gomez and
Zoe Gray lost 8-3 to the No. 9 (Region) team of Laura Golubic and Arisa Takanashi, 8-3, at No. 1.
Anna Garcia and
Dragana Samardzic lost 8-3 at No. 2.

Garcia, Samardzic and Mas all won their singles matches at No. 3, 4 and 5. Garcia lost the first set, 6-4, but bounced back with a 6-3 win in the second set. Garcia put the match away with a 7-6 (7-1) win in the final set. Samardzic won her match in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 while it took all three sets for Mas. Mas won 6-2 in the first set, but lost the second set 7-6 (7-4) to force the third set. She won that one 6-3.

Gomez lost 6-1, 7-5 at No. 1 and Chala lost 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, at No. 2.
Zoe Gray also lost 6-2, 6-2, at No. 6.
