SEARCY, Ark. — In its first appearance in the Great American Conference Championships as a No. 2 seed, Southern Nazarene fell in penalty kicks 4-2 to No. 3 seed Ouachita Baptist on Friday night.

The Crimson Storm were trying to reach the GAC Title game for the first time in school history after a record-setting season. SNU fired a season-high 28 shots in the match, and put 11 of those on goal. The Tigers took 17 shots in the match and landed five of those on target.

Angel Lopez took a season-high eight shots in the match and put four of those on goal, while
Cristian Hernandez and
Brock Massie each had two shots on goal for SNU.
Reagan Haydon got the start in goal for the Storm, as the freshman recorded five saves in the match.

After a deadlock at 0-0 after 90 minutes, the match entered overtime where both sides were looking for the golden goal. After 20 more minutes of neither side getting anything to find the back of the net, the match entered PK's.

It is the first match this season for Southern Nazarene entering PK's, as the Storm missed two of their first three attempts. Ouachita made their first four to seal the victory.
