WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Southern Nazarene's offense was held to just two shot attempts in the match against Southwestern Oklahoma State in a 7-1 loss on Thursday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (7-2-1, 5-0 GAC) fired a season-high 29 shots in the match, landing 19 of those on goal. The Crimson Storm (1-10, 0-5 GAC) put both of their shots on goal and got one of those to find the back of the net.

SWOSU struck first in the 25
th minute to take the 1-0 lead, before junior
Kylee Payne scored her first goal of the season for SNU in the 26
th minute to tie the game. The Bulldogs wasted no time in re-gaining the lead as they scored in the 28
th minute to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.

Southwestern Oklahoma State went on to score five goals in the second period as they netted scores in the 46
th, 54
th, 56
th, 61
st, and 86
th minutes. The Bulldogs were able to cruise to the victory on their home field following that.

Outside of Payne's goal,
Sara Solano was the only player on Southern Nazarene to take a shot.
Ashlynn Pritchett got the start in goal for SNU as the sophomore recorded a season-high 10 saves in the match. Freshman
Micaela Owen started the second half in goal and tallied one save before Pritchett came back in to play the final 21 minutes.

The Crimson Storm will play their second of a four-game road stretch on Saturday in Alva, as they take on Northwestern Oklahoma State at 12 p.m.
