Box Score TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — It was a tough-go for Southern Nazarene in their 2017 season opener, as they fell to Northeastern State 4-0 Thursday afternoon.
 
The Crimson Storm (0-1-0) recorded 11 shots for the game, nine of those being on goal, but couldn't get one to find the net. Northeastern State (1-0-0) totaled 22 shots for the game, and had 13 shots on goal. The Riverhawks got things going in the 12^th minute when Melissa Giles notched the first goal of the game.
 
After taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, Northeastern State scored three more goals in the second half as Paulina Chavez scored twice, and Avery Tubb scored in the final minute of the game.
 
Hannah Robinson and Sky Glass each had three shots on goal for the Crimson Storm, and Ashlynn Pritchett recorded nine saves in her first collegiate appearance.
 
Southern Nazarene is back in action Saturday for their home opener against Oklahoma Christian at 7 p.m. at Wes Harmon Field.
