BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene picked up its first Great American Conference win of the season, as they took down Ouachita Baptist 2-1 Thursday night.

The Crimson Storm (3-9, 1-5 GAC) totaled 13 shots on goal for the match, compared to the Tigers (3-8-1, 3-4 GAC) who totaled eight. Both teams exceeded 20 shots for the game, as SNU fired 21 shots and Ouachita tallied 25. Tori Stratton opened up the game with her first goal of the season for the Tigers as she scored in the 31
st minute.

After the Storm trailed 1-0 at the half, Hannah Lawrence responded with her first goal of the season in the 54
th minute to even the score. Fifteen minutes later,
Meagan Chase was fouled inside the goalie box, resulting in a penalty kick for the Storm. Erin Webster deflected
Kelsi Bussert's attempt, but it came right back to Bussert who easily put it behind Webster. It was Bussert's first goal of the season, as they hung on the rest of the way.

Bussert had five shots on goal for the Storm, and Chase had two.
Shanae Vasquez and
Alexus Coxsey also had two shots on goal for SNU. Webster recorded 11 saves for the Tigers, and
Ashlynn Pritchett tallied seven saves for the Storm. Pritchett now has 32 saves in her last three games.
