OKLAHOMA CITY — Southern Nazarene got a goal each from
Jared Rangel and
Matthew Lawrence, but couldn't hold off Oklahoma Christian in a 4-2 loss Saturday night.

The Eagles (1-1-0) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 13 minutes of the game. OC went up 1-0 in the 12th minute before scoring just 57 seconds later to take the 2-0 lead. The Crimson Storm got on the board in the 38
th minute when Rangel notched his first goal of the year off a free kick from 19 yards out to cut it to 2-1.

Oklahoma Christian though tacked on another goal just before the half to push it to 3-1. In the second half, Lawrence cut the deficit back to one when he found the back of the net in the 58
th minute to make it 3-2 when he ripped one from 12 yards out off an assist from
Freddy DiNang. The Eagles though answered less than two minutes later in the 60
th minute to take a 4-2 lead.

SNU put six of its 17 shots on goal, but OC doubled up the Storm with shots on frame. The Eagles put 12 of their 23 shots on goal.

Colton Hadlock (0-2-0) had eight saves on the night in goal.
