The Crimson Storm (2-9-0, 1-4-0 GAC) played eye for eye with the Bulldogs, (7-2-1, 4-1-0 GAC) who were tied for first in the conference going into the game. Neither SNU nor SWOSU was able to score in the first half as both teams were held to a limited number of shots. The Crimson Storm were held to three shots and the Bulldogs were held to four shots.

The Crimson Storm were able to contain Alimata Rabo, the conference's leading scorer to three shots on the afternoon. However, the Storm weren't able to contain Sandra Nabweteme, the second leading scorer in the conference as she found the back of the net twice. The first goal came in the 47
th minute, Nabweteme's 13
th goal of the season. Rabo crossed the ball from the right side of the field to the right box to an open Nabweteme who gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. Nabweteme scored her 14
th goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 64
th minute.

The Storm were held to eight shots with half of the shots falling on goal.
Taylor Jester led SNU in shots with two, both shots on goal. SWOSU took 11 shots with six shots on goal.

Natasha Fuentes recorded four saves in the 64 minutes she played before she had to leave the game after receiving a red card.
