After allowing an early goal in the 17
th minute, the Crimson Storm tied the game in the 27
th minutes off an
Alan Armstrong goal coming off an entry pass from
Tommy Fiszel. Seconds after Armstrong's goal, the game was subject to a 50-minute lightning delay.

After the match was resumed, the two teams were locked in a tight battle until the Badgers were able to secure the win with McInnis scoring off a corner kick by Tilman Schober.

SNU had plenty of chances to score in the second half, putting five of their seven shots on goal.
