BETHANY, Okla. — Mitchell Johnson scored his first goal of the season in the second half, but it wasn't enough scoring as Northeastern State scored two goals to defeat Southern Nazarene 2-1.
 
The RiverHawks (5-2-0, 3-0-0 MIAA), who were ranked 16
th in this week's NSCAA Top 25 poll, scored in the 30
th minute when Justin Todd put a loose ball in the box in the net. The Crimson Storm (2-6-0, 1-1-0 MIAA) attempted six shots in the first half with two of them being on goal.
 
Southern Nazarene evened the score early in the second half as Johnson scored off a free kick from the top of the box in the 51
st minute. Northeastern State took the lead again in the 70
th minute when Juan Peralta chipped a shot over the keeper from 20 yards out off a pass from Jordan Schmoker. The Crimson Storm attempted four shots in the last 20 minutes of the game, but they were unable to put any of them in the net.
 
The RiverHawks attempted 19 shots with seven being on goal. The Crimson Storm attempted 16 shots with six of them being on goal.

Jeff Ray recorded five saves and NSU's Eric Shepard had four saves.
