WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Hannah Robinson scored her first goal of the season, but it was not nearly enough offense for Southern Nazarene as Midwestern State scored six goals in a 6-1 victory.

The Mustangs (4-0-3) got an early lead when Destinee Williamson scored off a rebound from her own shot in the third minute. The Crimson Storm (2-4-0) responded quickly as Robinson scored her first goal of the season off a pass from
Sheridan Williams to tie the game at 1-1.

Midwestern State retook the lead in the 20
th minute when Ashley Cottrell scored to put the Mustangs up 2-1. Cottrell followed that goal up with an assist in the 28
th minute as Morgan Hannon put her pass from the right wing into the net to stretch the lead to 3-1.

The Mustangs continued to roll on offense in the second half. Destinee Williamson scored her second goal of the game off a pass from Katy Catney in the 65
th minute to put them up 4-1. Midwestern State added two more goals in the final minute of the game. Alexandria Edwards headed Payton Fookes corner kick into the net and Nicole Coetzer scored 20 seconds later for the Mustangs to give them a 6-1 lead.

The Crimson Storm attempted 15 shots in the second half with five of them being on goal, but they were unable to put any of them in the net.

Southern Nazarene attempted 22 shots with eight being on goal. Midwestern State attempted 17 shots with 12 being on goal.

Natasha Fuentes recorded six saves.
