Box Score BETHANY, Okla. ­— Southern Nazarene couldn't get into an offensive rhythm as they only attempted two shots in a 4-0 loss to Colorado-Colorado Springs.
 
The Mountain Lions (1-1-1) possessed the ball for most of the first half as they attempted seven shots and also had six corner kicks. The Crimson Storm (1-4-0) only attempted one shot in the half as Javier Caballeros' shot ricocheted off the left post and away from the goal.
 
Colorado-Colorado Springs started off the second half with a goal by James Roberts off a pass from Luke Chapman in the 52^nd minute to put UCCS up 1-0.
 
A key moment in the game occurred in the 74^th minute as SNU's Jeff Ray was given his second yellow card of the game, which caused him to be ejected. This forced the Crimson Storm to put Colton Hadlock in the game and they had to play a man down for the remainder of the game.
 
This allowed the Mountain Lions to take advantage of the change in goal, which led to Sebastian Hertzberg scoring in the 75^th minute to give UCCS a 2-0 lead. They quickly followed up that goal with a goal by Jake McAllister in the 79^th minute off a pass from Josh Berntsson. Berntsson recorded his second assist of the game in the 88^th minute as Mathew Cox put Berntsson's pass in the net from the top of the box.
 
The Mountain Lions attempted 20 shots with nine being on goal. The Crimson Storm attempted two shots with none being on goal.
 
SNU's Ray recorded four saves before being ejected. Hadlock recorded one save. UCCS' David Meyer did not record a save.
 
Southern Nazarene will play its first MIAA game of the season as they host Harding Thursday at 7 p.m.
