FAYETTE, Iowa— Southern Nazarene held Upper Iowa scoreless in the first half, but gave up three goals in the second half in a 3-1 loss.

The Peacocks (7-6-1, 4-5 MIAA) attempted 15 shots in the first half with five of them being on goal, but the Crimson Storm's (3-10, 2-6 MIAA) defense kept them out of the net. SNU attempted six shots and put one of them on goal.

Upper Iowa scored first in the 50
th minute when Troy Ewers headed Rhys Williams' corner kick into the back of the net.
Mitchell Johnson tied the game in the 60
th minute when he put a free kick from 25 yards out past the keeper. The Peacocks gained the lead again in the 72
nd minute when Jared Newman beat the keeper one-on-one off a pass from Leandro Pena that he received from Hugo Alves. Upper Iowa sealed the game with a goal in the 85
th minute by Aaron Calkins off a pass from Ryan Pinkerton.
