Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — Sherri Collins scored her first goal of the season Tuesday night as Southern Nazarene University defeated Oklahoma Christian University 2-0.

Julie Duncan. "Perfect placement on Tati's (Carvalho) part, not too high and not too hard and Sherri was just able to tap it in with her head."

SNU (4-1) was able to hold off the Eagles (1-4) as the Storm showed yet again why they showed its defensive prowess.

The streak now stands at four as SNU has posted four straight wins and four straight shutouts. Neither team could shake one another throughout the first half resulting in a tie at halftime. The Storm got things going in the second half after Carvalho made a perfect touch pass to
Sherri Collins who headed the ball in the goal to give SNU a 1-0 lead in the 63
rd minute.

Yet, SNU was not finished.

Bekah Stewart dribbled around the defense and put the ball in the back right corner of the goal to put things away for the Storm.

"I am really proud of our defense," Duncan said. "They have battled hard and we were able to shut them out."

SNU attempted a total of 20 shots and 11 of those were on frame. The Storm limited OC to only four shots and only one shot was on goal. Yoli Zamarippa was credited with one save on the night.

The Storm are just one shutout shy of tying the school record for consecutive shutouts. Three times Southern Nazarene has gotten five shutouts in a row coming in 1995, 1996 and 2000. SNU can tie the school record in their next game at Texas A&M Commerce next Tuesday at 4 p.m.
