Storm Fall at Lindenwood

Edgar Pineda scored a goal for the Storm but they it wasn't enough as Southern Nazarene fell 3-1 at Lindenwood

Box Score St. Charles, Mo. — Edgar Pineda scored his sixth goal of the season for Southern Nazarene in a 3-1 loss at Lindenwood.
 
The Crimson Storm (2-6, 1-3 MIAA) struck first when Pineda received an assist in the 36th minute from Blake Rodgers and put it in the goal to give SNU a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately, the Crimson Storm could not get anything going after that.

In the 38th minute, Aris Nukic took a pass from Mauricio Medina and scored his seventh goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1.
 
The second half was all Lions. In the 54th minute, Ignacio Romero scored an unassisted goal to give Lindenwood a 2-1 lead. The Lions (9-0-1, 3-0-1 MIAA) got another goal in the 71st minute when Nukic put Lindenwood up 3-1 and that sealed the game.
 
The Storm took eight shots and three were on goal. Lindenwood took 23 shots and 10 were on target. Tyler Wythe had seven saves for the Storm.
 
Next, the Storm return home to play Ouachita Baptist, Thursday, at 7 p.m.
