Seventh-Ranked Mustangs Shutout Storm

Southern Nazarene fell 5-0 on Tuesday night.

Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — No. 7 Midwestern State scored three first half goals and Southern Nazarene couldn't fight back in a 5-0 loss at home.
 
The Mustangs (10-3-1) scored in the second minute of the game when B.A. Catney scored off of a penalty kick to put the Mustangs on top 1-0. Midwestern State scored again in the 14th minute when VcMor Eligwe received a cross from Ben Clarvis to put The Mustangs up 2-0. Eligwe scored another goal in the 17th minute to put Midwestern State up 3-0 and the Mustangs scored one more goal in the 33rd minute to take a 4-0 halftime lead.
 
Southern Nazarene (2-15) attempted seven first half shots.
 
The Mustangs only scored one goal in the second half but they limited the Storm offense to just two shots attempts. Midwestern State scored in the 51st minute Daren Kruzich scored his first goal of the season to put the Mustangs on top 5-0 and gave Midwestern State its 10th win.
 
Midwestern State attempted 33 shots for the game and SNU attempted just nine. 11 of the Mustangs shots were on goal. Six of the Storm's shots were on target. Tyler Wythe had seven saves for the Storm.
 
The Storm will not get set to host Fort Hays State for senior night on Friday, at 7p.m.
