Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — Blake Rodgers scored his fifth goal of the season with 37 minutes left in the first half to give SNU a 1-0 lead over Oklahoma City, but the Stars scored two second half goals to defeat SNU 2-1.

"I can't fault the guys effort," said Head Coach
George Schroeder. "We have seen some good play out of a couple new guys and we have seen some great play out of Josh (Thomas) who just doesn't stop."

Southern Nazarene (2-11-0) scored quickly in the first half. Rodgers received an assist from
Mario Caballeros and put it in the right side of the net to give SNU a 1-0 halftime lead. OCU (6-4-2) recorded six shots in the first half while SNU had just two shots. SNU's only shot that was on goal in the first half was Rodger's goal. Two of OCU's shots in the half were on frame.

With 36 minutes left in the second half OCU's Adam Black headed a shot into the goal off an assist from Ethan Berney to tie the game 1-1. Black scored another goal with only 28 minutes in the half to give the Stars a 2-1 win.

"We're still just struggling a bit," said Schroeder. "We were four or five starters down and were missing Hajime (Chumpitaz) and our leading goal scorer Edgar (Pineda)."

OCU attempted 15 shots and seven were on goal. The Storm took seven shots and four were on goal.
Tyler Wythe had five saves for the Storm.

SNU will now travel to Northeastern State, Monday, at 6:30 p.m. for a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association game.
