Tigers Hold off Storm

Southern Nazarene couldn't hold off Ouachita Baptist in a 1-0 loss on Thursday...

Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — Oucahita Baptist's Taylor Heinson scored in the 80th minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead and that was just enough to outlast Southern Nazarene.
 
SNU (2-7) took nine shots in the first half but were unable to come up with any points. The Crimson Storm limited the Tigers (3-6-1) to only six shots in the half and that resulted in a 0-0 tie at the break.
 
The Storm took seven shots in the second half but were unable to connect on any of them and it looked as if the match was headed for overtime.
 
In the 80th minute, Heinson received an assist from Ryan Traynor and kicked it over the top of Tyler Wythe's head to give the Tigers a 1-0 advantage and ultimately the win.
 
SNU took 16 total shots and seven were on target. The Storm limited the Tigers to 11 shots and only three were on goal. Wythe had two saves for the Storm.
 
The Crimson Storm will not get set to host West Texas A&M, Saturday, at 7 p.m.
