Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — No. 21 Lindenwood scored three second half goals in a 3-0 shutout over Southern Nazarene.
The Crimson Storm (1-10, 1-4 MIAA) held the Lions (7-1-2, 4-0-1 MIAA) scoreless in the first half and nearly matched them shot-for-shot on goal, but three breakdowns cost SNU in the second half.
The first came in the 54
th minute when Aris Nukic took a Rodney Mays cross from the right side and buried it for a 1-0 lead. Eric Olvera then put home a goal in the 77
th minute before Brett Humes added the final goal just over a minute later.
Blake Anderson did come up with three saves as Lindenwood put six of its 15 shots on goal while SNU put five of its 14 on frame. Fermin Hughes also made five saves for the Lions.
Southern Nazarene now hits the road for the rest of the season and will step out of conference play Friday to take on Midwestern State (Texas).
