Box Score BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene carried a 2-1 lead into the half, but Harding scored a late goal to force extra time and neither team scored in the final 20 minutes as it ended in a 2-2 tie.
The Crimson Storm (3-3-1, 0-1-1 GAC) are still looking for their first win of the Great American conference season and though they had it until the 77
th minute.
The Lady Bisons (2-3-1, 1-0-1 GAC) actually took the first lead of the game in the 10
th minute when Adair Schmidt put home her second goal of the season off a Jenna Taylor assist, but the Storm fired right back. Kayla Thompson headed a goal home in the 19
th minute to tie the game at 1-1. A cross bounced off Daneille Nonaka's hands in goal and Sheri Collins headed it forward to Thompson for the goal.
SNU took a 2-1 lead just before half when
Bekah Stewart scored her second goal of the year when she ripped a shot from the right side of the box past the keeper. Harding though got the tying goal in the 77
th minute when Jenna Taylor squeaked on past
Yoli Zamarripa.
Zamarripa finished with two saves as Harding put four of its eight shots on goal. The Crimson Storm took 29 shots and put 12 on frame, forcing Nonaka to make 10 saves on the day.
Southern Nazarene takes the show on the road now as it travels to Southwestern Oklahoma State, Friday, for a 4 p.m. game.
